Used in MerCruiser MR & Gen I lower units 1983-1990  These are the correct gears if your lower gearcase DOES NOT HAVE A PRELOAD PIN on top of the driveshaft ****If your gearcase HAS A PRELOAD PIN

0L 140hp 181cid (1982-some 1992) Should likely be similar to 987784 & 3850799 for the other 1992-1994 models

Found on quite a few engines 1967-1990's I'm sure this is one of the earlier ones based on the design

so you will need longer ones if you are currently using cap 47588 which had holes for the mounting bolts
