A 22" diameter head from a "retired" oak wine barrel provides a unique chess playing board. The tops of a wine bottles have been merged with hand carved wooden shapes, individually fashioned to display each playing piece. A piece of felt covers the bottom of the playing pieces to protect the board's surface.
