Love these big, busy, beautiful members of the woodpecker family. Hilariously, in the spring, the "boys" get on my old cast iron BBQ, and hammer noisily in an attempt to impress the Flicker girls. Apparently they have baffles in their brain that allows for this kind of show off behavior without permanent damage!
