The palate is dense and richly concentrated with fine grained tannin and good length. Flavors of dark chocolate, dark berry compote, and hints of dried thyme and leather are abundant. This wine brings loads of ripe currants, black fruits, licorice, and oak to the fore. Enjoy it with the first cut from an oven roasted prime rib.
