If you look carefully you can find some reminders of the Christmas season in the image on a nice evening late in the year

Finding a nice composition was the task at hand which I could then position myself to include the sun into the scene as well

The fog diffused the sun and the rays turned orange

Fall at Steamboat Lake Size:16"x20" Using a small apertureOne autumn I was in the Steamboat Springs area and headed north towards Steamboat Lake State Park. As I got to the lake and saw the color towards Hahn's Peak I knew this was a place to stop and photograph. From the lake reflection, with a boat on it, to the fields across the lake with livestock all the way up Hahn's Peak with a hint of snowfall it was just a perfect scene that afternoon.
