Shanxi Elm Side Table Storage Cabinet ideal as a console orShanxi, circa 1880 This understated table is narrow enough to fit in smaller spaces, ideal as a console or side table. It is in a classic Chinese 'An' design, with rounded legs recessed beneath the table's surface, supported with single stretchers at the front and back and double stretchers at the side. Made from elm wood, the legs still largely have the original dark lacquer in place, but the table top is worn to the natural colour of the wood,
