Carved Dragon on Stand, Brown finish-metal date back to Ming dynastyThe stylised C shaped dragons are reproductions of ancient totems made by the Hongshan people, a neolithic culture from northeastern China and Mongolia. The dragon is shown here curled up in embryonic form. Each item is individually carved from beautifully figured stone and so will vary slightly from the example shown in colour.
