From some rocks higher up I set-up my tripod to capture this waterfall

For me the bands of colors tells the story of this piece with the paint and rust

Over the summer the lake was drained as a construction project was started which will provide some additional separation from Interstate 70 as well as other improvements in the area

The details on this one reminded me almost of a sponge

This image was just prior to sunrise and as I have done in the past I let the buildings go to shadow for the most part in this image

Denver from the State Capitol in the Fall Size:24"x36" From some rocks higher upIn November 2015 during a brief snow in Denver I headed towards Civic Center Park to photograph. As the snow tapered off the foothills started to become visible in the distance. With the fresh snow on the grass and the fall color in the leaves I found myself on the capitol steps to capture this image west through Civic Center Park towards the City and County of Denver building.
