Rocky Mountain News Presentation:Matted Heading to a familiar location

Heading to a familiar location I set up my camera and waited in the chilly conditions

I walked around the neighborhood looking for changes in the season when I encountered a building with a blank palette

however I pushed myself and got to the location just after sunset hoping to catch dusk over the city

As I was headed out on a short afternoon hike I walked past some fuel tanks and noticed the afternoon light casting a shadow on one of them

With the wind howling

The News has been a part of Denver for almost as long as Denver was a city and this final edition marked the end of an era. The final edition which I purchased was placed on the front porch to my house as this is how many people received the paper for many years. Denver is now a one newspaper town, and it will be a different landscape for print news.
