The delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors possess a polished mouthfeel while delivering fine depth and length for a villages level wine

lavender and sweet spice give the 2016 striking inner perfume

being very careful not to dry out the wine

My observation is that this 2011 vintage feels more overtly ripe

Chateau Marsannay, Chambertin other_regions_australia (66% whole clusters)(from a . 09 ha parcel). Very generous wood and menthol elements are borderline invasive on the liqueur like aromas of baked plum, warm earth and underbrush scented nose. There is good density and excellent minerality to the attractively vibrant broad shouldered flavors where a touch of mocha surfaces on the reasonably persistent finish. This needs to develop more depth but that should be possible given the tannic spine shaping this wine.
