George Kearsley Shaw (1751 –1813) was an English botanist and zoologist

She preferred everyday flowers such as azaleas and violets and especially roses

In 1904 he was appointed a Teishitsu Gige-in (Artist to the Imperial Household) and became a member of the Art Committee of the Imperial Household

He dedicated his career to painting pictures of ‘the highest human soul beauty

Later in the year Hunt got the chance of a lifetime
