Early and late blooms lean more blush during cooler weather, while the mid summer heat deepens the center flushes of pink. In my Colorado rows, I find this dahlia could benefit from a bit of afternoon shade or a light shade cloth to keep the buds from appearing a bit sun burnt from our intense high altitude UV rays.
