Gloves — intaglio etching Giclee but about the roles weGloves is a unique intaglio etching created by Gerard McDonagh. The print was made by hand in Camden, London, using a combination of aquatint and contemporary photo etching techniques. The image was etched onto zinc plates using acid, before each plate was individually inked, hand wiped, and printed through a traditional etching press. Each colour layer was printed separately, giving the final work its depth and tone. This edition of seven is printed
