In 2012, a few months before his death, Sergio Toppi made twenty color illustrations for the poem La Perla by Roberto Mussapi, a contemporary Milanese author. This book features 20 full page color illustrations and 15 smaller illustrations and is published on the occasion of an exhibition of works by
