One of the real gems of coastal Virginia is the Piankitank River and its quaint little anchorage called Fishing Bay. I've spent many summer days in the last 25 years with my family here on the banks of the Piankitank. This painting was inspired by one of those perfect summer mornings, when the puffy white clouds reflect so clearly in the deep blue waters of Fishing Bay. In the distance are the familiar
