茶屋辻文様はもとは江戸時代の上級武家の女性が正装に用いたもので、夏の麻の小袖に藍染で描いたといわれ、高貴な柄とされています。

撫子は8月～9月に咲く夏の花で、夏の着物に柄として取り入れられることが多い植物です。
